We make things that last. That's it. That's the whole plan.

We are Miriam's parents.

Patricia and Alexandru. Our careers in filmmaking taught us to care about stories, details and the things that don't get noticed until they're missing. We bring all of that to every toy we make.

Our daughter Miriam was the reason PurePlay was born. Looking for toys worthy of her, we kept finding the same thing: beautiful in photos, disappointing in hand. Plywood dressed as solid wood. Varnish hiding mediocre material. Toys designed to photograph well, not to last.

So we made our own.

What we make. And how.

Every PurePlay toy starts as a plank of solid European beechwood. Dense, warm, naturally antibacterial. The same wood used for butcher blocks and surgical instruments. We cut it on our CNC machine, hand-sand every edge until it's smooth enough to run across your cheek and finish it with natural oils certified safe for children.

Patricia designs every piece from scratch. Each animal, each letter drawn by hand before it ever meets the machine. Alexandru runs the workshop, handles the CNC and does the finishing work. Every order that leaves here has been touched by both of us.

We don't outsource. We don't use plywood where we say solid wood. We don't rush.

Why it matters.

We believe toys, like films, should create experiences worth remembering. Our goal is simple: make things safe, beautiful and durable enough to be handed down. Toys that outlast childhood. And maybe outlast us.
